US jury finds Sean “Diddy” Combs partially guilty


The jury in New York agreed to acquit the US rapper on charges of sex trafficking and organized crime.
In the sexual assault trial of US rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs, the jury found the former rap superstar partially guilty. The jury informed the court in New York, according to consistent US media reports.
Twelve jurors – eight men and four women – had to decide on the guilt or innocence of the former rap superstar at the New York court. The 55-year-old was accused of sex trafficking, organized crime , and other offenses. He denied all charges and pleaded not guilty.
Over 30 witnesses were questioned in the trial over a period of six weeks. In their closing arguments, the prosecution accused Combs of running a "criminal enterprise" and of kidnapping, arson, bribery, forced labor, and sex trafficking, among other offenses. The defense, in turn, admitted in its closing argument that the former rap superstar had committed domestic violence, but denied any of the alleged crimes.
